Site Visits
The remit for Ealing's Out of School Development Team is to support and advise childcare providers for children aged 4 – 14 years (16 with Special Needs) This Includes:
- Ofsted Registered Childcare - Those on the Ofsted Childcare Register “Compulsory & Voluntary parts” and the Early Year’s Register
- Exempt Childcare - Such as Breakfast Clubs, Holiday Clubs for Over 8’s and Provision run by Schools
Minimum annual visit structure for out of school providers in Ealing:
Each Provider:
- 1 Pre-Ofsted Visit (Ofsted Registered Childcare) or Good Practice Checks (Exempt Childcare)
- 1 or more Quality Visit (Quality Indicators)
- 1 SEN/Inclusion Visit (Ofsted Registered Childcare) or 1 SEN/Inclusion telephone call (Exempt Childcare)
By Provider Type:
- Holiday Play Scheme 3 visits a year (1 Quality Visit, 1 Pre-Ofsted & 1 SEN/Inclusion)
- After School Clubs 3 Visits a Year (1 Quality Visit, 1 Pre-Ofsted & 1 SEN/Inclusion)
- Exempt Provision 2 Visits a Year (1 Quality Visit & 1 Good Practice Check)
