Play Centres
These are activity-based centres that all have outside play areas. They operate on a drop in basis and are free of charge to the public. Some play centres also run childcare facilities for example Southall Park Play Centre and Northolt Park Children’s Centre for which there is an additional charge.
The Play Centres are spread across the borough with four sites catering for the 0-12 year olds and three specifically catering for the under fives (under eights during the school holidays).
A responsible adult must accompany children aged under eight at all times for drop in sessions.
All the Play Centres provide games, toys, arts, and crafts and sports activities. Special events such as festivals, discos and parties are also organised at individual sites. The centres can also be hired outside normal opening hours for birthday parties, classes and other activities relating to children.
