Planning

Good planning is the key to making children's learning effective, exciting, varied and progressive. It enables practitioners to build up knowledge about how individual children learn and make progress and ensures you are prepared to carry out activities and meet the needs of each child.

There is no ‘right way’ or magic formula to planning; however effective plans:

It’s Important to Remember…

As planning is based on current interests, plans should not be developed too far in advance. They should also contain the suggestions and ideas from both children and parents and should be shared with parents on your notice board. Below are some basic templates with you may find useful.
