Workforce Development
Our aim is to develop our local strategy to improve the skills and competencies of the early years and childcare workforce, taking into account the Children’s Workforce Strategy. As a part of that strategy we are working towards all day care settings being led by graduate early years professionals and improving the qualifications and status of early years and childcare workers through a comprehensive Training Programme.
Through the National Recruitment Campaign we aim to increase the number of people entering into childcare as a career and identify clear career routes available, training opportunities etc.
