Book Start
Bookstart is a national programme that works through locally-based organisations . It aims to promote a life-long love of books and is based on the principle that every child in the UK should enjoy and benefit from books from as early an age as possible.
Bookstart for babies, Bookstart+ for toddlers and Bookstart Treasure Chest for three year olds has now become available in Ealing from October 2005. Ealing EYDCP has taken a lead on distributing the Treasure boxes to all 3 year olds in Ealing and will be sent out via libraries and early years settings. The Bookstart packs for toddlers and babies are being provided by health visitors or in local libraries please ask for further details.
