Early Years Single Funding Formula

Possible Changes to Ealing's Early Years Single Funding Formula   

All local authorities in England are required by the DfE to ensure that funding for three and four years olds be provided on a fair and transparent basis in order to support sustainability and promote good practice.

The purpose of this document is to consult on the possible changes to the early years single funding formula for 2012/13, the options include:

• take the deprivation supplement out of the transitional arrangements for 2012/13.
• target workforce supplements within the formula to support settings with highly qualified staff.
• adjust some base rates to offset some funding pressure created by some areas of the formula. sector.
• revising the transitional protection rate for 2012/13.

The responses to this consultation document will be included in a report to the School Forum on the 8^th February 2012 when the final options for changes to the formula will be presented alongside the consultation evidence.
